Together for Nature

until 9:00 PM @ The Block, 122 Main St West, North Bay ON

An event called Together for Nature will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 7:00 pm at The Block Public House in North Bay. The event will bring together Indigenous youth leaders, artists, land protectors, and legal advocates for an evening focused on Indigenous-led conservation, environmental justice, and the growing movement to protect lands, waters, and Treaty rights across Northern Ontario.

This event comes at a critical time as federal and provincial governments move forward with Bills C-5 and 5, legislation that has sparked widespread concern among Indigenous Nations, environmental organizations, and community advocates.

The evening will feature:

  • Live music and storytelling from Indigenous artists Ramon Kataquapit and William McGrath
  • Reflections from Okiniwak youth leaders following their recent participation at the United Nations in New York
  • A screening of Here We Stand, a short documentary exploring the proposed Ring of Fire development and Indigenous youth efforts to protect the Attawapiskat River
  • A live discussion on Indigenous-led movements for land and water protection and Legal Advocates for Nature's Defence's legal challenge to Bills 5 and C-5.

Admission: Free and open to the public
